Koyote’s Kim Jong-min received a perfect “husband score” from his fiancée, who is 11 years younger than him.
On the March 5 episode of Channel A’s Nowadays Men’s Life – Groom Class, Kim Jong-min called his fiancée and introduced her to his close friend of 20 years, Haha.
Haha asked, “Jong-min said he fell for ‘Hiyung’ (nickname) at first sight. How about you?” His fiancée responded, “Oppa was cuter than I expected, and that’s what made me fall for him. After taking Groom Class, he expresses his feelings more and is much more considerate.”
Kim Jong-min added, “I used to be shy and wasn’t good at expressing my feelings, but now, whenever we make eye contact, I tell her I love her. That’s when she started getting teary-eyed.” When Haha asked, “What’s Jong-min’s husband score?” his fiancée answered, “100 points!”
Haha and Kim Jong-min then began organizing the wedding guest list. Kim Jong-min recalled, “The congratulatory money I gave at your wedding was the highest amount I had ever given.” On the other hand, he admitted, “I still regret giving too little at Kang Ho-dong’s wedding. I was just starting out in my career back then and couldn’t afford to give more.”
Kim Jong-min also called comedian Yang Se-chan and actor Lee Kwang-soo to check if they would attend the wedding. Lee Kwang-soo shared a funny story: “Haha once told me he had a younger sibling who would be a great match for me and invited me to a nice dinner. So, I dressed up and went to a hotel restaurant, but when I opened the door, there were elderly ladies inside. It turned out to be Haha’s family meeting for his engagement!”
With Haha’s help, Kim Jong-min recorded a song to use during his wedding entrance. He said, “I want to walk in while singing a rewritten version of Koyote’s Our Dream. The word ‘married man’ always felt like someone else’s story, but now it’s becoming real.”
Later, Kim Jong-min made a surprise appearance on Haha’s radio show. Haha jokingly said, “There’s a big problem—your wedding date clashes with Ailee’s! I already received her wedding invitation first, so I might have to go to the one I got first.”
Kim Jong-min pleaded, “Please come, even if you’re late.” Haha then asked, “Where is Koyote’s Shinji going?” Kim Jong-min replied, “She’s close with Ailee, so she’ll probably go there…”
