Set to be released on March 26, Victory tells the story of South Korea’s legendary Go player Cho Hun-hyun (played by Lee Byung-hun), who, after losing a match to his disciple, challenges the top spot again using his innate competitive spirit.

On the 19th, the Victory team released the official teaser, designed to spark the competitive spirit of the audience. In the teaser, viewers can see Lee Byung-hun’s perfect transformation into the legendary Go player Cho Hun-hyun.

Alongside Lee Byung-hun, seasoned actors like Ko Chang-seok, Hyun Bong-sik, Moon Jung-hee, and Kim Kang-hoon appear, ensuring the high quality of the movie. The teaser shows Cho Hun-hyun (Lee Byung-hun) rising to the peak of national fame after winning the World Professional Go Championship, then taking in the genius prodigy Lee Chang-ho (played by Kim Kang-hoon) as his disciple. The intense rivalry between the two, who later become legendary rivals, unfolds with high tension. The teaser leaves viewers wondering how Cho Hun-hyun will challenge the top spot after experiencing both victory and defeat.

However, Yoo Ah-in, who plays Lee Chang-ho alongside child actor Kim Kang-hoon, is noticeably edited out of the teaser, with only brief glimpses of his back.

Yoo Ah-in has been indicted for habitual drug use, and the release of Victory was delayed. It has now been confirmed for a March release. Yoo Ah-in was charged for 181 instances of propofol use between 2020 and 2022, as well as illegally obtaining 44 prescriptions for sleeping pills in other people’s names between 2021 and 2022.

In addition, he was ordered to pay 154,800 KRW in restitution and undergo 80 hours of community service and 40 hours of drug treatment lectures. Yoo Ah-in was released after about five months.
