‘Preparing for a joint performance with the late Wheesung’ KCM “We’ll meet on the 15th… I’m sorry, Sungah”

Singer KCM, who was scheduled to perform with the late Wheesung, expressed his condolences.

On the 11th, KCM posted on Instagram, “We’ll meet on March 15th… I’m sorry, Sungah,” along with a photo of chrysanthemums.

KCM was scheduled to perform a joint performance with Wheesung, ‘The Story’, at the Daegu EXCO Auditorium on the 15th.

The concert was canceled after the news was announced. KCM was reportedly shocked by the sudden news of his colleague’s death and was deeply saddened.

The ‘White Day Concert’ that Wheesung had planned to hold at Chosun University in Gwangju on the 23rd was also canceled.

According to the Gwangjin Police Station in Seoul, Wheesung was found dead at his home in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul at 6:29 PM the previous day.

The police are requesting an autopsy from the National Institute of Scientific Investigation (NIS) regarding Wheesung’s death. They are also analyzing his cell phone and other items to investigate the specific cause of death.

The police have reported that there have been no signs of criminal activity, such as external intrusion, so far. They are currently investigating whether there was a will and the specific circumstances of his death.

Wheesung, who debuted as a solo artist in 2002, has been recognized for his singing ability and his love for genre music, which are among the best in the Korean music industry.

He released hit songs such as “Can’t I…,” “With Me,” “The Day We Met Again,” and “Incurable Disease,” and became one of the representative vocalists that men follow with his splendid technique. He contributed to the revival and popularization of domestic black music such as R&B and hip-hop.

Wheesung’s agency, Tajo Entertainment, said, “We earnestly ask that you refrain from spreading unconfirmed rumors and speculative reports for the sake of the bereaved family, who are in deep shock and sorrow. Once again, we express our deepest condolences on the deceased’s final journey.”
